Good evening, everybody,
today i’m going to make a summary aboout a news that i consider interesting, this news is about a topic that we studie in mi career, psychologist. I hope you enjoy it.

Scientits have created a comprehensive atlas of the adult
human brain. This map was created form genetic analyses of about 900 specific
parts of brains donated.
Seth Grant, who worke don the map, said that this is like
the Rosetta stone for understandig the link between the genome and the brain,
in that way, how genetic disorders impact and produce brain disease.
Beside, they say that analysis of the cortex revealed
patterns (in gene) that corresponded to regions specific roles in the brain.
Actually, the investigators are working under way on donated
tissues from both sexes because they want to check how consistent that genetic
blueprint.
The scientists describe how they scanned the donated brains
and then chopped them into tinyt, tiny pieces. And for every single lump theyu
measured activity levels for all the genes in the human genome.
The investigator mentioned, Grant, said that in the future
they’ll try to look to connect the genetic brain atlas with other genetic
studies or brain scans of abnormal or diseased brains. This because they say “that could highlight genes that play a role
in brain conditions and point the way to drug treatments that dampen down or
ramp up gene activity”.
Thanks for reading, see you next J
P.S.: The atlas, which overlays the genetic results on to a
3D image of the brain, is freely available for researchers to use online.
Oh my god! the atlas of a human brain?
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! now we can know a little more about this "machine" that creates our mind :B
Se you latter!!!
